Yes, we’re talking about poo.

It might feel awkward — but it’s an important conversation.

That’s why, Gut Health Awareness Month this May, we’re encouraging our clients to check in on their gut health.

Every day in New Zealand, nine people are diagnosed with bowel cancer, and sadly, three lose their lives.* Early detection can make all the difference.

Why screening matters

If you’re aged 50 and over, the risk of bowel cancer increases — and early detection can be life saving.

The free National Bowel Screening Programme is available:

  • For most people aged 60–74
  • For Māori and Pasifika from age 50

Not eligible for a free kit?

To support our clients, we’re offering a $50 discount on a bowel screening test through our partner Care HQ, for the first 50 people who get in touch.

The test usually retails for over $287.50.

Test kits will be available from June.

Complete this form to request a kit.

Another simple check you can do today

A bowel screening test is just one way to keep an eye on your gut health.

You can also 'review your poo' using the Gut Foundation’s free online checklist: Review Your Poo.

Thinking ahead, just in case

Before undertaking any health screening, it’s also worth ensuring your life and health insurance cover is up to date. In many cases, cover options can change once a medical condition is diagnosed.

We offer a complimentary, no obligation insurance review to help you check that your existing cover still suits your needs before any testing takes place — giving you confidence and peace of mind, whatever the outcome.

Let’s not shy away from the conversation this May.

Talking about gut health — even the awkward parts — can protect your health and give confidence to those who depend on you.
